OCTOBER 2010 Various cut­le­ry and house­hold uten­sils have been sold suc­cess­ful­ly over recent years under the brand Nivel­la. One of the clas­sics among them was and is the Nivel­la Exclu­siv Line kitchen-knife collec­tion, a tra­di­tio­nal line of kni­ves of clas­si­cal design. Sin­ce then the line has been updated and fur­ther impro­ved upon. The shape of the kni­fe hand­le has been made more modern and ergo­no­mic and an addi­tio­nal trend-setting San­to­ku kni­fe has been deve­lo­ped which now rounds the set off in ide­al fashion. AUGUST 2010 SILAG sub­si­dia­ry “SILAG Objekt Son­ne­feld GmbH” has com­ple­ted one of the lar­gest roof-mounted pho­to­vol­taic sys­tems in Ger­ma­ny (flat roof with an area of approx. 75 000 m²) at the Son­ne­feld site near Coburg in North Fran­co­nia. AUGUST 2010 Care­er goal: Mer­chant in who­le­sa­le and For­eign Tra­de It has now been exact­ly three years sin­ce Julia Volk­mann (24, from Lan­gen­feld) and Domi­nic Win­ter (27, Lan­gen­feld) both star­ted their trai­ning as mer­chants in who­le­sa­le and for­eign tra­ding on 01.08.2007 with SILAG Han­del AG. Sin­ce then they have suc­cess­ful­ly com­ple­ted their cour­ses: Julia in Febru­a­ry this year – it was pos­si­ble to shor­ten her trai­ning peri­od from the regu­lar three years to two and a half – and Domi­nic has just pas­sed his last exam suc­cess­ful­ly. JULY 2010 The third wee­kend of the FIA GT3 Euro­pean Cham­pions­hip in Jara­ma in Spain finis­hed suc­cess­ful­ly for the ADAC GT Mas­ters dri­vers and teams. The race was star­ted on a wet sur­face and was con­trol­led by the two bright-green BMW Alpi­nas from the first lap. At the start, Maxi­me Mar­tin in his first ADAC GT Mas­ters race wres­ted the lead from team-mate Jens Kling­mann. Mar­tin ope­ned up a gap in the first lap on Kling­mann, who was batt­ling with a mis­fi­ring engi­ne, and he han­ded over the B6 while it was in the lead to Clau­dia Hürt­gen.
