DECEMBER 2011 SILAG Han­del AG once again suc­cess­ful­ly demons­tra­ted its credit wort­hi­ness. A few days ago the Federal Bank awar­ded it with the rating judgment of “eli­gi­ble for credit” as in pre­vious years. This high-ranking rating pro­cess requi­res inten­si­ve che­cking of annu­al state­ments and con­si­ders other cri­te­ria such as cur­rent busi­ness deve­lo­p­ment and sec­tor com­pa­ra­bi­li­ty values. The cur­rent cate­go­ri­sa­ti­on is based upon the annu­al results up until 31^st Decem­ber 2010. SILAG Han­del AG was cate­go­ri­sed at Level 3 as ful­ly eli­gi­ble for credit. DECEMBER 2011 The mega-event for the third time in suc­ces­si­on: on the night of 28^th to 29^th Decem­ber 2011 it had final­ly arri­ved: for the third time in suc­ces­si­on, SILAG Han­del AG ope­ned the doors to its Wareh­ouse Sales and at 5 minu­tes past mid­ni­ght tra­di­tio­nal­ly rang in Germany’s lar­gest fire­works sale. Ton­nes of fire­works, all mee­ting safe­ty regu­la­ti­ons, were once again sto­cked. The throngs of pyro­tech­nics fans were pro­fes­sio­nal­ly gui­ded on site by 20 mar­shals. Lie­big­stra­ße was tur­ned into a one-way street with a spe­cial traffic-routeing sys­tem, and a 20 000 m² car park immedia­te­ly next to Wareh­ouse Sales was made avail­ab­le for the event ensu­ring that ever­ything went smooth­ly. AUGUST 2011 The resi­den­ti­al and busi­ness buil­ding built in 1892 by Juli­us Tück­man­tel is one of the most beau­ti­ful and one of the last lis­ted buil­dings in the Solin­gen city cent­re. It is loca­ted right on the city-centre Mar­ket Squa­re and at the bus sta­ti­on and domi­na­tes the city land­s­cape. Taking exten­si­ve mea­su­res for its struc­tu­ral reno­va­ti­on, in 2008 the owner fami­ly of Sieg­fried Lapa­wa res­to­red the faca­de and roof back to their ori­gi­nal con­di­ti­on with gre­at atten­ti­on to detail. AUGUST 2011 Euro­pa Wareh­ouse – SILAG-Europalogistik – chan­ge of stra­te­gy wit­hin SILAG Logistics. SILAG buys an area of about 70 000 m² on Win­kels­weg in Lan­gen­feld ther­eby expan­ding the Lan­gen­feld site signi­fi­cant­ly. Uti­li­sa­ti­on of the pre­vious SILAG pre­mi­ses in Son­ne­feld pas­ses to BAUR Ver­sand (Otto Group). By July 2011, 60 000 m² of the SILAG-Europa Wareh­ouse was being ren­ted and occu­p­ied by BAUR Ver­sand. BAUR ther­eby opens a huge reser­ve store in the SILAG wareh­ouses.

FEBRUARY 2011 SILAG Han­del AG, based in Lan­gen­feld has ren­ted out to new ope­ra­tors its Euro­pa Wareh­ouse at the site in Son­ne­feld (near Coburg) with a sto­rage and logistics area of approx. 75 000 m². 60 000 m² was suc­cess­ful­ly mar­ke­ted to BAUR Ver­sand (GmbH & Co. KG) and a fur­ther 15 000 m² is going to a multi-national tob­ac­co con­cern.

JANUARY 2011 The „Bun­des­ver­band Musik­in­dus­trie e. V.” (Federal Music Asso­cia­ti­on e.
