January 2009 Wolfram Stroese was appointed to the executive board of SILAG Handel AG starting 02.01.2009. Stroese, who came from a similar role in Obi, is regarded as an expert in the sector and will lead the newly created “New Business Areas and Marketing” department. The leadership team of Board Spokesman Siegfried Lapawa, Board Member Thomas Becker and Board Member Hans-Hermann Lapawa is thus extended from three to four members. Mr. Siegfried Lapawa sees this gain as an important step towards the profitable growth of the Group of Companies.
AUGUST 2008 The new SILAG Group business areas of media, printed media, sound recordings, software and games are completely transferred to SILAG Media AG.
DECEMBER 2007 SILAG Handel AG has been showcasing itself since 13.12.2007 with a new internet presence.
AUGUST 2007 A further branch within the SILAG Group came into being in the form of SILAG Media AG. The core business of this company consists of bundling the SILAG Group’s advertising activities. The business areas of B2C Direct Marketing for the books, sound recordings, and software and games sectors are also to be developed.
JUNE 2007 This prominent hoarding on the three-lane A3, with a traffic frequency of approx. 162 000 vehicles per day, created the largest advertisement on an autobahn.
MARCH 2007 With the move to the neighbouring town of Langenfeld, SILAG Handel AG completes a further step in its expansion, sets the course for future growth strategies and creates the basis for the development of the logistics site at Langenfeld.
