5x Platinum for “Albert E”
JANUARY 2011
The „Bundesverband Musikindustrie e. V.” (Federal Music Association e. V.) awarded the “5x Platinum” to Siegfried Lapawa for the first million non-fiction “ICH WEISS WAS!” CDs sold.
Never have so many CDs of a children’s non-fiction product been sold in such a short time – 24 months. This is due in no small measure to the fact that in each of the first and second set of Albert E. twelve titles on various subjects were marketed simultaneously.
Knowledge-related subjects for children were always traditionally aimed more at a “boy audience” (technology/adventure), but the authors and producers of the Albert E. series “ICH WEISS WAS!” have taken special care to appeal to children irrespective of gender, and indeed to the whole family.
Special importance was attached to good linguistic communication in the development of the series. This is because in the target group of children between 5 and 8 years of age, more than 50% have a migration background, which often goes together with a lack of linguistic ability. Good linguistic development is a requirement, however, for the personal development of children.
The third set of “Albert E. – ICH WEISS WAS!” will be available in the first half of 2011. The 5x Platinum award is one of the highest accolades ever given.
